LearnRPD: ferramenta digital para ensino e aprendizagem em Próteses Parciais Removíveis

O envelhecimento populacional e as desigualdades no acesso à saúde bucal mantêm as próteses parciais removíveis (PPRs) como uma estratégia amplamente utilizada na reabilitação oral, devido à sua acessibilidade e aos benefícios clínicos. Contudo, o planejamento dessas próteses apresenta alta complexidade técnica, sendo um desafio para estudantes de graduação, que frequentemente enfrentam dificuldades em aplicar os conceitos teóricos na prática. Este estudo tem como objetivo desenvolver uma ferramenta didática voltada para o planejamento digital de próteses parciais removíveis, destacando suas funcionalidades, aplicabilidades e os benefícios ao ensino e à prática clínica. A ferramenta utiliza imagens digitais dos componentes de PPRs, que podem ser sobrepostas a imagens de arcadas dentárias desdentadas inseridas pelo usuário, para simular cenários clínicos e permitir análises detalhadas das estruturas faciais e dentárias. O processo segue uma sequência lógica: inserção de informações faciais, análise das características dentárias, identificação de fatores limitantes locais, posicionamento e ajustes dos componentes da PPR e personalização estrutural e estética da prótese. A ferramenta é acessível e de fácil uso, promove maior integração entre teoria e prática, permitindo maior autonomia dos alunos no planejamento de PPRs. Conclui-se que a ferramenta tem potencial para modernizar o ensino de prótese dentária e contribuir para a formação de profissionais mais capacitados, embora estudos adicionais sejam necessários para validar sua eficácia em diferentes contextos educacionais.
